Why Choose A Professional?

If you are going to spend good money to get a good result, don’t waste it on a poor selection!

There are several choices you can make when planning your next office remodel, tenant improvement or commercial painting project.

  • Hire a Professional Painting Contractor
  • Hire a contractor who is less than professional (see Guidelines for Selecting a Professional Painting Contractor)
  • Find an acquaintance with some trade experience to help you out
  • Do It Yourself

For most commercial purposes, options 3 and 4 are fairly easily dismissed.

3rd Option: Get someone you know to help you out

Perhaps you have a friend or acquaintance that has some painting or construction experience and you are thinking about asking them to help you out and pay them a little something on the side.  This situation can be detrimental to your friendship.  Often this arrangement does not go well.  One party or both often feel taken advantage of.

4th Option: Do It Yourself

For most business owners or property managers, this is not even a feasible option as most commercial projects would be beyond the scope of your capability, but for small projects you may think you can save money by doing it yourself and/or having your employees help out.  Chances are that the opportunity cost of spending time on a project that is not your forte will take away from time you could spend making money to pay a contractor to do it right.

Should you hire a contractor who is less than professional to save money or hire a Professional Painting Contractor?

Hire a less than professional contractor if:

  1. You are happy if you can save a lot of money in the short term
  2. You don’t need to worry about long term value
  3. The low cost contractor possesses the skill to make the project look the way you want it to turn out
  4. He knows how to properly prepare the surfaces and do the repairs needed to provide a long lasting result
  5. You are confident that he has the manpower and can deliver the project on time
  6. You aren’t worried about whether he has the proper workers comp insurance on all his workers
  7. You know that results you get will thrill your tenants, shareholders or board of directors

Reasons to Hire a Professional Commercial Painting Contractor:

  1. The investment of your money is a good value
  2. A high quality of the finish and look is the result you desire
  3. Appropriate preparation and application of product give you a result that lasts for many years
  4. Added value and protection to your office suite or commercial building - some of your largest investments
  5. Peace of mind that a professional will take care to handle the project properly and safely
  6. Completion of the project in a much shorter time than it would take a self employed contractor, creating less disruption in your environment
  7. The painting contractor deals with all the clean up and hazardous waste disposal safely and professionally
  8. Your tenants, business partners, shareholders and board of directors will be completely satisfied with the result
